“Death is not the biggest fear we have; our biggest fear is taking the risk to be alive-”
My name is Dr. Angela Mendoza DPT Certified Lymphedema and Wound Therapist, Holistic Nutritionist, and Lifestyle Medicine Professional— but most people know me by the name of Angela (phonetically sounds like Ahnjelah). My goal is to be able to improve my understanding of alternative forms of healing to be able to provide and promote holistic wellbeing in the lives of, not only my patients, but everyone I meet in this lifetime.
I began with a mission to see all of the National Parks in the United States with the intention of having interviews and different experiences with healers of various Indigenous people.
Summer of 2018-2019, I indulged in sweat lodges, sound healing workshops, different yoga and meditation practices-- to name a few things. Specifically, I had the opportunity to complete a pilgrimage to Machu Piccu via the Salkantay trek, participated in a 10 day Vipassana retreat, took a tour in Europe, attended the Holistic Healing Festival in the UK hosted my dear friend Sophie Trew, and enjoyed Conscious San Jose Festival in my new home town!
2020 Took us all by storm. Neither you, nor I could possibly guess the length of this pandemic or the effects of it on our wellbeing. I have continued to learn and grow my skillset to share the importance of emotional, spiritual, physical, mental well-being; and the vital role community plays in our lives. I had the opportunity to share my growth as a contributing author to Best seller “Turning Point Moments” in 2022.
I am writing a new book that addresses how to stay balanced during times of flux and uncertainty. Keep your eyes peeled for it!
In the meantime my vision is to provide healing and hope through education and inspiration to those suffering from trauma in the past and now to new generations and older generations. The goal is to help everyone live the best life they can without letting their trauma hold them back, and to decrease the risk of incurring upon comorbidities including but not limited to cancer. I enjoy providing education daily to my patients, but also find it critically important to share information to schools, support groups, and other community centers as well. If you would like to connect please feel free to contact me. I would love to hear how I can help!
